SAHE Program Information
Greetings! The application deadline for Fall 2008 is Monday, January 7, 2008. If you are interested in applying to Colorado State University's Student Affairs in Higher Education Program, the application is available after September 1, 2007. If you have general questions about the SAHE Program, please email SAHE@colostate.edu
An undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 is required for an application to be considered. Undergraduate activities and student affairs or other leadership experiences are also important.

Program Application Process
Application materials must be RECEIVED by January 7, 2008. All of the application materials are available online.
Please allow at least one-week mailing time; only complete applications received on or before the due date will be guaranteed review. After the deadline, the selection committee will meet to review all completed applications. The following information is designed to facilitate the application process.
Application Guidelines/Checklist
For the School of Education:

Please fill out the application completely and mail all application materials to Graduate Programs Office/School of Education, C/O Randi Fuller-SAHE Program, Room 111 Education Building, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO 80523-1588 . You may also apply online at: www.graduateschool.colostate.edu. Failure to provide complete information may cause delay in processing.
- $50 Nonrefundable Processing Fee
Send a check or money order payable to Colorado State University with your application. Note that the full legal name of the applicant must be on the check. Credit card payments are only accepted online.
- Official Transcript(s)
Request that two official transcripts from each college or university attended to be sent to the department to which you are applying (Colorado State University transcripts are not required).
- Statement of Purpose
Write a summary of long-term professional or personal goals. Include a statement on how this learning will contribute to your long-term goals and a list of factors that led you to consider Colorado State for graduate study.
- GRE/GMAT Scores -Not Required for SAHE Program admission
Additional requirements For Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) program:
- Current Contact Information
Provide any updated postal/email address and phone number where you can be reached if current contact information provided on graduate application form changes.
- SAHE Program/Graduate Assistantship Application Form
- Resume
Include any previous experience in student affairs, along with position titles, dates of employment, institutions, and major responsibilities.
- Letters of Reference
Provide three letters of reference. These letters need to comment to applicants ability to do graduate work and student affairs professional practice.

Interviewing
After the initial screening of applications by the SAHE faculty, candidates are invited to campus to interview for the program and assistantships. This is also an opportunity to see the campus, meet current students, interact with other potential students, and gain more information about the program.
The campus interviews take place over a two day period. The first interview day is dedicated to allowing candidates to gain a better understanding of the program, curriculum, faculty, students, portfolio requirements, and other information. The selection committee, comprised of SAHE faculty members who are also advisors in the program, will conduct the program interviews on the first day. The second day is spent gaining more information about assistantships and interviewing for these positions. More information is provided once candidates are contacted and invited to campus for interviews.
